About us

Fristad Plast is a family business with more than 50 years of experience in plastic production and manufacturing high-quality plastic components. The company was founded in 1967 by Leif Forsström and is currently run by the second and third generations together. For us as a family business, it’s about long-term thinking, commitment, and always being present for our customers, our employees, and the future.

When plastic is the best option

Fristad Plast is characterised by our extensive knowledge and experience. We’ve developed a deep understanding of the properties and potential of plastics, and our curiosity motivates us to constantly evolve and develop new solutions.

Thanks to our long-term presence and our commitment to each project, we’ve built strong and long-standing relationships with our customers, often over several decades.

We use plastic when plastic is the best option, and we take long-term responsibility for both the environment we operate in and the communities we impact. We are certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

Plastic that does good

Fristad Plast’s raison d’être is to only manufacture products that are beneficial. We say no to the production of items that do not have a clear function or that can cause harm, such as nonsensical disposable items, weaponry components, or things that contribute to unhealthy habits. When the lifebuoy we manufacture saves 14 lives a year, we cannot then make products that contribute to people dying prematurely.

Sweden and China

As our name suggests, we’re based in Fristad, in the Swedish municipality of Borås. This is where you’ll find the heart of our business with modern production facilities, warehouses and logistics solutions, and our head office. We also have a factory in Foshan, China, which allows us to offer flexible solutions, test run moulding tools, and deliver Swedish quality on Chinese soil.
